Being a kid again...

So, what are the only things in life that are certain? That was the main subject of an over arching conversation that I had last night. While waiting to perform at Amy and Brad's wedding (which was at the lovely Waldenwood resort in Hartland, MI), we talked about how death and now were the only certain things in life. Now certainly is happening... right now as a mater of fact!

Its funny to think about things from different perspectives. I still remember being a kid and looking through an old pair of binoculars. It would be fun for a little while. Eventually I would get bored and move on.

So, I got to thinking... what are we really doing when we are looking through binoculars? Maybe we are seeing the future and leaving the now, at least momentarily. So that leaves us with three things...

- the here, or the present or now
- the over there or the future
- and death.

So, by virtue of the elimination, does death become the past?

I miss being a kid, an am so glad that I now have one.

Oh!  BTW, the wedding last night was overlooking Walden (wood) Pond.
